Bird Trails Tropical Queensland Smart Phone Application

Utilising the Business Cluster development skills developed working with Desert Knowledge on the Linked Business Networks Project with cluster development expert Ifor Ffowcs-Williams of Cluster Navigators, Tourism Naturally identified the opportunity to develop the Bird Trails Tropical Queensland group.

As Australia’s premier birding destination, Tropical North Queensland had a significant number of specialist birding operations. Tourism Naturally brought them together as Bird Trails Tropical Queensland and managed the project developing a birding smart phone app and undertake significant marketing, domestically and internationally to develop and expand a specialist birding market in Australia, the US and UK.

​With support and funding from the local, regional, state and national tourism organisations, TN delivered the development of the BTTQ app and associated International marketing activities to drive significantly increased birding tourists to the region
