Development of Business Case for the Mossman Gorge Gateway Centre
Tourism Naturally developed the business case for the $17m Mossman Gorge Gateway Centre in 2008 for Cape York Partnerships and the Indigenous Land Corporation.
The plan was important to verify the feasibility to secure the funding for the project. It detailed the new Indigenous tour product to be developed, operational requirements and service delivery models for the facility, management and employment models, marketing strategies and the expected financial performance.
The Centre was completed in 2012 and the business plan successfully implemented to develop a world-class indigenous eco-tourism facility in a World heritage setting employing 50 Kuku Yalanji people. The Mossman Gorge Gateway Centre included the following elements:
• Mossman Gorge Dreamtime tours

• Visitor Information Centre
